The original Fisher Bullet Pens were designed almost 60 years ago, in 1948 to be exact. The Fisher bullet shaped pen is the most popular Fisher Space Pen today. Because of its shape and size it fits perfectly in your pocket and you can always carry it with you. All of the Fisher Bullet Pens are gift boxed and use a black ink (medium point) pressurized Fisher Space Pen refill. When opened the Fisher Bullet Pens measure 5.3 inches (13,5 cm) with a closed length of 3.7 inches (9,40 cm). Did you know that the Fisher Bullet Pens have been exhibited for years in the New York Museum of Modern Art? Often imitated, never duplicated!
Genuine Pocket Fisher Space Pen, known as Fisher Space Chrome Bullet Pen, writes dependably upside down, under water, over grease, and in extreme temperatures. Due to their unique design and reputation for writing in extreme conditions the Space Pen has become the pen of choice for the United States air force, law enforcement agencies, undersea explorers, mountain climbing expeditions, ski and snowboard teams or anyone else demanding a high degree of reliability from the equipment they select. In addition to being durable the Fisher Space Pens write cleaner, more consistently and are also attractive and have been displayed in the New York Museum of Modern Art - cited as an outstanding example of industrial art. Of course, even if you don't work in any of the above industries, you can still enjoy the quality and durability of the Fisher Pens!

| Notes | History of the Fisher Space Pen Paul Fisher developed the Fisher Space Pen almost 40 years ago during a time when the "race for space" was being fought. When astronauts began to fly they used ordinary pencils. The lead of these pencils could easily brake off causing dangerous situations when they floated around in the gravity-less space cabin. A safer and more reliable writing instrument was needed, the Fisher Space Pen. More than two million dollars went into the development of the Fisher Space Pen and in 1965 Paul Fisher successfully developed the first pressurized Fisher Space Pens. Ordinary ball pens rely on gravity to feed the ink and have an opening to allow air to replace ink as it is used. But there is no hole in the hermetically sealed and pressurized Space Pens. Evaporation, wasted ink and back leakage are eliminated. Shelf life is increased from a normal two years to an estimated 100 years. Your Fisher Space Pen is unconditionally guaranteed to give you good, satisfactory service both here on Earth and in Space. |
